To celebrate and enhance the opportunities inherent in the land claim settlement process, the FSIN Lands & Resources Secretariat is hosting a three part conference to examine the reserve creation process for the purpose of working together to increase the economic prosperity and well-being of both the Saskatchewan First Nations and the Saskatchewan public. The final conference in the series is approaching quickly:
The Importance of Partnerships with Urban and Rural Municipalities
DATE: March 8 and 9, 2017
TIME: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION: TCU Place
35 – 22nd Street East, Saskatoon, SK
In an unprecedented partnership, several Saskatchewan organizations have joined together to explore the opportunities resulting from the settlement of land claim. Beginning with the 1992 Saskatchewan Treaty Land Entitlement Framework Agreement, Saskatchewan First Nations, urban and rural municipalities, and the business communities have entered into an era of new found partnership and prosperity. While the conferences focus on local and provincial partnerships in Saskatchewan, the conference series will attract the attention of the national and international business community.
