FSIN Joins Anti-Prorogue Rallies

On Saturday, January 23, 2010, anti-prorogue rallies were held across Canada with thousands of Canadians calling on Prime Minister Stephen Harper to reconvene Parliament.

First Nations joined the gatherings and want the Government to deal with the amendments to the Indian Act as a result of a BC Court ruling on the McIvor case.  Numerous rallies were held across Saskatchewan including Saskatoon where around 400 people gathered in front of City Hall.
