Vice Chief Guy Lonechild is a member of the White Bear First Nation, and is of Cree and Assiniboine Nation.

Guy attended the University of Brandon Manitoba in the Faculty of Arts, Guy later received an Associate Business Degree in San Diego, California.

Prior to being elected in 1999, as Second Vice-Chief at the age of 26, Guy served as the Band Manager for the White Bear First Nation. Guy also acted as a Consultant for Meyers Norris & Penny a Chartered Accountants Firm with the First Nations Services Department. His previous experience also includes: Technical Advisor to the First Nations Education and Training; a board member for the Indian Resource Council of Canada; and a Consultant for the White Bear First Nation Oil and Gas Canada.

As Second Vice-Chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations, Guy ‘s portfolio assignments are Economic and Community Development Secretariat (which involves Agriculture, Tourism, Oil and Gas, Wholesale Retail, Aboriginal Work Force Participation Initiative); Justice Secretariat; Indian Child and Family Services (ICFS); and the Youth Program.
