FSIN LOOKS TO A CONTINUED WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH JIM REITER
(Treaty 6 Territory, Saskatoon, SK) – The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations Executive is pleased Government Relations Minister Jim Reiter will remain responsible for First Nations, Metis and Northern Affairs in addition to his new interim duties that include Crowns Investment Corporation, Saskatchewan Government Insurance, the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority and the Public Service Commission.
“We have a good solid working relationship with Minister Jim Reiter,” said FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron. “We look forward to working together with Minister Reiter as we have in the past. We have a number of items that will need his attention in the immediate future.” The FSIN represents 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan. The Federation is committed to honouring the spirit and intent of the Treaties, as well as the promotion, protection and implementation of the Treaty promises that were made more than a century ago.
